Dana deLaski, Director & Producer
Dana is a documentary filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon. She earned her BA in English Literature from Colorado College and her Master’s in Multimedia Journalism from the University of Oregon. She began her career in editorial media, producing stories for platforms including Mashable, Food & Wine, The Village Voice, and Tasting Table. In 2020, she co-founded a production company called Film Snacks, which focused on short films about food. In 2023 she co-produced Remembering York, which screened at several regional festivals and was a finalist for the “Ubuntu: I am because we are” award. Currently, she is producing Our Next Speaker, a documentary series about high school speech & debate.
Hunter Hampton, Director of Photography
Hunter is a Directory of Photography and cinematographer based on the west coast. He has been a cinematographer for over 15 years, working on projects worldwide. He was the DP for Padma Lakshmi’s series, Taste The Nation on Hulu, and has worked on television doc series for Netflix, Showtime, Discovery, and Magnolia. He has also DP’d commercials for a variety of clients including Amazon, Google, Mini USA, Lego, Subaru, and more. He enjoys filming music videos and narrative films as well. And he loves food—cooking it, eating it, filming it.
Sarah Bourscheid, Editor
Sarah Bourscheid is a nonfiction video editor with a passion for socially responsible, character-driven stories. She believes documentaries have the power to unbridle nuance and connect viewers to their innate humanity. Some of her favorite projects include Wind Meets Skin, an experimental documentary about motherhood in colonized Puerto Rico, and Gardening in a War Zone, a short documentary about a clematis seed farmer in Ukraine. With roots on the east coast, Sarah is currently cutting from Portland, Oregon.
